Let’s talk about something that might not be glamorous, but absolutely deserves the spotlight: labor induction.

Now, before we dive in, I want to say this upfront—I was induced.

And it didn’t go how I expected.

In fact, it was the beginning of what they call “the cascade of interventions”—that domino effect where one medical procedure leads to another, and then another… until I found myself having a C-section after 36 hours of labor that never truly got started.

And honestly? I’ve had to do a lot of processing around that.

Because the thing is, sometimes induction is the right call.

And sometimes, it’s not so clear.

Let’s unpack that.
