Real Talk: What happens in early labor?
✨Breaking it down on this Thoughtful Thursday

Heyyyy Beautiful Mama!!
Sorry so late - I like to get my newsletters out super early but some days…welp, it just doesn’t happen!
It’s Thursday. On Thursdays we pick a topic and dive deep into it…
Let’s go
The first time I heard about what early labor actually feels like, it wasn’t from a doctor—it was from my best friend. She called me at 9 p.m. and said, “Something’s happening. But I think I’m just gonna go to bed.”
And I was like… you’re WHAT?
That sounded wild to me—at the time, I hadn’t had my baby yet, and the idea of going to sleep during labor just didn’t compute.
But she did.
She went to sleep, and the next morning, labor had clearly progressed. She was rested, calm, and ready.
Turns out, that’s one of the best things you can do in early labor.
Let’s break that part down, mama to mama.
What’s really happening in early labor?
And more importantly—what are you supposed to do?
