That weird symptom?

Hey beautiful mama! How you feelin?!
I wanna talk about the weirdest thing that happened to me during pregnancy.
No, not the fact that I cried over a dropped banana (although yes, that happened).
Not the carpel tunnel that had me Googling “why can’t I hold a spoon in the morning for my cereal?”
Nope—what got me the most was this weird sensation in my chest that would show up right when I was trying to relax at the end of the day.
It wasn’t pain. It wasn’t quite anxiety.
It just felt like… I couldn’t take a full breath.
Like there was a tightness sitting under my ribs.
And the more I noticed it, the worse it got.
I remember lying in bed, on my mountain of pillows, staring at the ceiling like,
“Great. My lungs forgot how to lung. Love that for me.”
Turns out? That feeling is actually really common.
Between your uterus pushing everything north, your diaphragm shifting, and hormones doing cartwheels in your bloodstream—it’s no wonder your body’s like, “I’m sorry, you wanted comfort?”
And here’s the kicker: the more I freaked out about it, the tighter everything felt.
That’s when I tried something simple. So simple, it felt kind of silly.
